WASHINGTON, DC — In the run up to the National Week of Action, When We All Vote, a non-partisan, non-profit organization, released a new PSA featuring Co-Chair Michelle Obama encouraging Americans to register to vote and get to the polls this November and in every election. “When We All Vote, we get new ideas and new energy. We get leaders that share our values” said Mrs. Obama in the PSA that will run on digital platforms and on radio across the country. The PSA will air over the next two weeks before voter registration deadlines.
Today, When We All Vote also launched it’s text message campaign which allows people to text WeAllVote to 97779 to register to vote.
During the Week of Action volunteers will host nearly 2000 grassroots events across the country. The purpose of these events is to recruit more volunteers, educate, register voters, and get them ready to vote every election. As previously announced, Co-Chair Michelle Obama will headline events during the Week of Action in Las Vegas (Sept. 23) and Miami (Sept. 28). Co-Chairs Janelle Monae, Chris Paul, Tom Hanks and Faith Hill will also lead flagship events along with Loni Love, Keegan-Michael Key and Shonda Rhimes in Atlanta, Houston, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Detroit and Los Angeles, respectively.
People can sign up to attend or host their own events during Week of Action

“Nothing ever changes.”
“The system is rigged.”
“Why bother?”
Whether you’re trying to get dinner on the table after
working a double shift…
dropping baby off with Grandma…
or studying for exams…
voting can feel like the furthest thing from your mind.

or they get worse.
But when we all vote, we get new ideas and new energy…
we get leaders who share our values and listen to our voices.
That’s how we change America.
And that’s why it’s so important to register right now
and vote this November, and in every election.
