The Registered and Ready Takeover will Include Instagram Live Conversations, Special Appearances with a When We All Vote Co-Chair, Volunteers and Ambassadors about getting #VoteReady 
 

(Washington, DC):  On Tuesday, September 22, National Voter Registration Day, and as a part of When We All Vote’s Week of Action, When We All Vote is hosting a day-long takeover on Instagram Live featuring Co-Chair Michelle Obama. Mrs. Obama will go LIVE on Instagram for the very first time to have conversations with When We All Vote Co-Chair Chris Paul, Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya and Ayesha Curry about the importance of getting registered and ready to vote early.  

When We All Vote Ambassadors including DJ Khaled, Fat Joe, volunteers, partners and voting rights experts including Kristen Clarke, President and Executive Director of the Lawyers’ Committee, will participate in the takeover to help ensure more eligible voters are registered and make a plan to cast their ballots. Various events will be hosted in partnership with Emerson Collective and NIKE, Inc.  

The Registered and Ready takeover will kick off  at 11 a.m. and end at 6:30 p.m ET. Topics include: voter registration, voter suppression, making a plan to vote, the youth vote, parenthood and more. DJs including  D-Nice, DJ Cassidy, DJ Envy and Hannah Bronfman will spin live sets throughout the day. The takeover will end with a virtual #CouchParty to text more than 500,000 eligible voters.

During this Week of Action, When We All Vote will engage even more eligible voters and volunteers. When We All Vote is hosting in-person, socially distanced food and voter registration drives in nine cities across the country where communities can receive groceries and critical voting information. Volunteers and partners are hosting a number of virtual events across the country and throughout the week. 

When We All Vote is committed to meeting people where they are and partnering with public figures to use their platforms to spread the word about voting. Nearly 200,000 people have started and or completed the voter registration process with When We All Vote, and to date, volunteers have sent more than five million texts to eligible voters.
