Co-Chair Janelle Monae Will Also Headline Event in Atlanta
When We All Vote Co-Chair Michelle Obama will host events in Las Vegas on September 23rd and Miami on September 28th. In August, Mrs. Obama announced When We All Vote’s National Week of Action in a video message urging Americans to sign up to volunteer and host events around the country to register voters and get people engaged and prepared to vote in the midterm elections and beyond.
This evening, Mrs. Obama will moderate a special volunteer call asking participants to host an event during the Week of Action. When We All Vote is teaming up with thousands of community leaders, colleges and universities, artists, athletes, and influencers to help organize, sign up volunteers and host events in communities across the country.
As Mrs. Obama said when she launched When We All Vote: “Voting is the only way to ensure that our values and priorities are represented in the halls of power. And it’s not enough to just vote for president every four years. We all have to vote in every single election: for mayor, governor, school board, state legislature and Congress. The leaders we elect to these offices help determine just about every aspect of our lives and our democracy. So the future of our families, our communities and our country belongs to those of us who show up, cast our votes, and make our voices heard.”
Co-Chair Janelle Monae will also host When We All Vote’s Atlanta event held in the heart of the Atlanta University Center at Spelman College.
These are just three of the flagship events that will be held in cities across the nation taking place during the Week of Action. Details on locations, ticketing and remaining flagship events, are forthcoming.

There will be flagship events across the country and the campaign is calling on people across the country to host events in their communities throughout the week. Starting today, people can sign up online to attend a flagship event and download the When We All Vote toolkit with instructions on how to plan their community events and register voters. Mrs. Obama and the other “When We All Vote” Co-Chairs will attend and or support some of the events on the ground. More details on the Co-Chairs and Ambassadors participation will be announced in the comings weeks.
