FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The “On The Run-Off Tour” will stop in areas across the state with free food, music, entertainment and voter education to encourage Georgia residents to vote on December 6th
(Atlanta, GA): With early voting happening across the state and one week until Election Day, the ACLU of Georgia, When We All Vote, Georgia Working Families Power, Black Voters Matter Fund and more announced nonpartisan GOTV efforts across Georgia to increase voter participation in the U.S. Senate Runoff Election. To build momentum and excitement and boost voter turnout, the “On The Run-Off Tour” will include rallies across the state featuring free food, music, entertainment and voter education.
More than 100 motorcyclists with Black Bikers Vote will ride to each location to drive awareness and excitement around the events. The tour will stop in Columbus, Albany and Savannah on Saturday, December 3rd, and Augusta and Atlanta on Sunday, December 4th.
Partners for the “On The Run-Off Tour” include: the ACLU of Georgia, Albany Voters Coalition, Black Bikers Vote, BlackPush, Inc., Black Voters Matter Fund, Columbus Riding Community, Georgia Working Families Power, The Leadership Conference Education Fund, Morehouse Votes, NAACP Atlanta, Pizza to the Polls, Represent Georgia, When We All Vote and 1000 Women Strong.
Many Georgians will only have five days of early voting, so driving turnout on Election Day is critical to ensure voters can make their voices heard in the runoff. Throughout the tour, voters will be encouraged to make a plan to vote at weall.vote/ga-mvp and remind three friends to do the same.
