When We All Vote Releases New Michelle Obama PSA Marking National Voter Registration Day

WASHINGTON, DC — In celebration of National Voter Registration Day, When We All Vote released a new PSA featuring Co-Chair Michelle Obama reminding Americans of “What’s At Stake” in each election.

“This election is your chance to hold your leaders accountable. It’s how you make your voice heard on everything from your kids’ education to the safety of your community. So there is a lot at stake this November, and in every election”, said Mrs. Obama. The PSA will run on digital platforms across the country over the next few weeks, as voter registration deadlines near in many states. The campaign also recently launched its text message campaign which allows people to text WeAllVote to 97779 to register to vote.

This week volunteers will host more than 2000 grassroots events across the country as part of our national Week of Action. People can sign up to attend these events. The purpose of these events is to recruit more volunteers, educate, register voters, and get them ready to vote in every election.

  • Tonight, Tom Hanks and members of the Pittsburgh Steelers will host an event in Pittsburgh.
  • Thursday, Sept. 27, Co-Chair Janelle Monae will host an event in Atlanta. Loni Love and Keegan-Michael Key will host an event in Detroit.
  • Friday, Sept. 28, Co-Chair Michelle Obama will host an event in Miami, and Shonda Rhimes will lead events in Los Angeles.
