WASHINGTON, DC – Today, When We All Vote unveiled a new homepage tailored to help voters prepare to cast their ballot on Election Day. Starting today all eligible voters can create a game plan to vote by visiting whenweallvote.org. The new tools will allow voters to find their polling locations, inform them of their options to vote early or by mail, shows them who will be on their ballots and helps them research candidates before heading to the polls.
When We All Vote also released a new PSA featuring Michelle Obama urging Americans to vote and to vote early. Created from her Week of Action Rally in Miami with over 6400 eligible voters, Mrs. Obama reminds voters that “Voting is the only way to ensure that your concerns matter.” The new PSA will run on digital platforms.
In September When We All Vote hosted a National Week of Action during which partners and volunteers hosted over 2,500 events in nearly every state. During our Week of Action over 200,000 people took action by hosting or attending an event, and volunteering to help register voters. Co-Chairs Michelle Obama, Tom Hanks, Chris Paul, Faith Hill, Janelle Monáe and more led flagship events in major cities from Atlanta to Las Vegas. Transcript:
When you don’t vote, what you’re really doing is letting somebody else take power over your own life.
You wouldn’t give your grandmother the power to decide what clothes you wear to the club.
You wouldn’t give your crazy uncle the power to post a picture to your Instagram feed.
So, why would you give a stranger the power to make far more important decisions in your life?
Voting is the only way to ensure that your concerns matter.
Period.
