The Fight For Our Vote Rally will energize volunteers and voters for the 2022 midterm elections and focus on what’s next in the fight to strengthen democracy
(Washington, DC): Today, February 1 at 8 p.m. ET, When We All Vote will host the Fight For Our Vote Rally, featuring When We All Vote Co-Chair Lin-Manuel Miranda, Taylor Rooks, Susan Kelechi Watson and other special guests. The virtual rally will focus on the 2022 midterm elections and concrete actions participants can take in the fight for voting rights.
Last month, after a year of work, the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act, which protects Americans from the hundreds of bills proposed across the country attacking the freedom to vote, was blocked in Congress. The rally is taking place exactly one month before the first primary election in Texas on March 1st and efforts to suppress voters in Texas have already begun. When We All Vote will educate voters on the important issues and offices on their ballots, and empower them with the tools and resources they need to strengthen democracy in their own communities.
