The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act is a dangerous attack on our right to vote that could threaten more than 20 million eligible voters.
This bill will not “save” anything. The SAVE Act would create new barriers to voter registration by mandating proof of citizenship with documents many Americans don’t have easy access to, like a passport or birth certificate. It would also require voters to register in person, eliminating the ability to register online, by mail, or at a voter registration drive.
Congress must vote “NO” on this dangerous bill.
