When We All Vote and Ham4Progress will mobilize voters to honor the legacy of the late Representative John Lewis by taking action in the fight for voting rights
(Washington, DC): Today, When We All Vote and the Ham4Progress team released the History Has Its Eyes On Us: Make Your Voice Heard in the 2022 Midterms Panel featuring current cast members of the hit musical Hamilton discussing the importance of voting. The panel features members of the award-winning Broadway play Hamilton cast, Krystal Joy Brown, Ashley De La Rosa, Jared Dixon and others to discuss the current state of our democracy and the role citizens play in the fight for the right to vote.
To celebrate John Lewis’s birthday yesterday, When We All Vote and the Ham4Progress Team are calling on viewers to honor his legacy by doing their part to stay active in the fight to protect democracy by registering to vote and calling on their senators. Earlier this year, the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act, which protects Americans from the hundreds of bills proposed across the country attacking the freedom to vote, was blocked in Congress. While the fight for voting rights in Congress is stalled, When We All Vote is still committed to ensuring every American can make their voices heard in elections at the local and federal levels.

Michelle Obama launched When We All Vote in 2018 and is joined by fellow Co-Chairs Stephen Curry, Becky G, Selena Gomez, Tom Hanks, H.E.R., Liza Koshy, Jennifer Lopez, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Janelle Monae, Chris Paul, Megan Rapinoe, Shonda Rhimes, Bretman Rock, Kerry Washington and Rita Wilson.
